We are getting ready to launch the new spring issue of Hayden’s out later this week. Since we do this in our free time, sometimes Hayden’s has to wait a little while. : ) Thanks for your patience.

Rather than surrender to the mystery of the creative journey, we want to know each sight we will see, each obstacle we will confront. Each “something” that we will encounter if we dare to begin. The truth is we cannot know where our creative trail is taking us. We cannot predict who or what it is we will become. The only certainty is that we will change from who and what we are. We will become something larger and something more, but exactly the form that something more and larger will take is a creation that we have not yet created and cannot demand to know.”

Today I came across a short essay that a fellow student at Oxford gave to me back in the summer of 2004. It was something she found inspiring and I hope you do as well:

“There is, though I don’t know how there is, or why there is, an infinite sense of protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of man that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and hope. I hope or I cannot live.”

The Power of Your Imagination

I wrote this in a letter over a year and a half ago. Finding it today, I thought it was positive and should be shared:

“I was thinking that the best feelings and thoughts come so often from the imagination and when you feel free to create and do what you want, you can envision the life you want, the people you want, the experiences, and environment you want to be in. We can together co-create and make a wonderful reality for us based in that shared imagination. It is very special and I think so amazing…I know that is the best part of us to do that and hope and love and dream from that. It is just allowing yourself to dream and want that. So make a wish! Put out your desire for what you want, all the love and all the goodness and happiness. It will come most surely.”
